Cool dining experience with unique art. The tables are close to each other, felt like I was having dinner with the guests beside me. Pressed sushi was delicious but wasn’t a fan of the chicken wings. Service was fast and friendly.

We weren’t sure what to expect with this place but it was totally amazing! The decor is 1 of a kind and the menu is mind-bogglingly long. Some of the sushi rolls sounded good and some sounded weird, so our server happily helped tell us what she suggested and what we should stay away from. The amount of sushi we were able to eat for the price was awesome. Don’t expect delicate and refined Japanese fare - this is a fill-your-face with extravagant rolls type of spot. Not to be missed.

Friendly staff and fun, funky atmosphere. Where I learned to love sushi in the early 90's .

Inexpensive fusion Sushi place. A little too much souce and mayo on the rolls. We had the Assembly Line Platter and some sashimi, honey garlic chicken wings and chicken karage. The chicken was good, the service was good as well. The Volcano roll was not that great, again too much souce.

Now this one is my favorite sushi placeif you’re looking for traditional sushi,nope it’s not gonna be your choice but if you’re looking for some different yet amazing sushi this is the place

Every thing was perfect ,costumer service , quality of the food and the environment which was pretty unique !! Completely different from other places that i went before. Lots of color and creativity specially in menu items .

This place definitely has character when it comes to the decor..a fun unconventional Canadian fusion japanese place for a night out and a great place to take kids in the day time. If you don't want to break the bank and u just want to explore something different with a fun environment..then this is the place to go..Go here for the creative rolls from the menu!

Atmosphere fun, good sushi, but agree with other reviewers that the waitresses come across as pretty nonchalant. And the one non-sushi item I ordered, the only Chinese dish on the menu (though apparently much beloved in Japan) seemed rather misadvertised -- said it was spicy, with beans, but the dish that was brought had zero spice, no beans that I could see or taste, and was exceptionally dull. As in it tasted like... nothing. I couldn't even get through five bites.

Very cool environment, lots of funky art everywhere. Friendly service. Very western style sushi with great taste and unique flavours. Also, you get a lot for what pay for. I would eat here again

Love this place! It's a fun place to bring friends and hang out. Happy they have a takeout option cause it gets busy often.

Not your typical sushi joint. Great, fun place to check out. Cool decor, dj and good food. Mostly university students on the weekends and definitely not a quiet sushi spot on the weekends. Not sure if they have a dj every night but Friday, Saturdays they do. Ordered the pork gyoza, chicken karaage, mushroom tempura, valcano roll, fortune roll and red sanja. If you like crab, get the valcano roll it was amassing.

Love the food and the atmosphere but poor experience the other day. Made a reservation for 3 of us, on a Friday night. Arrived on time for our booking. We were asked to wait in their 'no alcohol' section while they sat other parties in the main restaurant area. We asked to order some starters and move to our proper table as soon as it became available, but that was too much trouble for the staff, so we waited around for 20 minutes before we got to our BOOKED table. Poor service left a bad taste. We were not asked if the 'no alcohol' section would be suitable when we booked the table.

Such great sushi! The menu has sooo many options. It's always busy when I go there, no matter the day of the week or time. The decor is really funny and cool. I love the hanging art and the fun vibes it brings.

Food is delicious. Varied menu with some sushi options you likely won't see anywhere else. Love the decor. Service was excellent. Servers are friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

This is a great spot to get sushi, which is incredible and nearly too many options to chose from! The style is super funky and different which makes the experience that much better for sushi. Check it out!

Good prices, lots of selection, great food, funky atmosphere! Their veggie sushi menu is quite extensive which caters well for most people I've been with. Definitely worth checking out!

Interesting, goofy menu and atmosphere. Order a Philadelphia roll, Tex Mex roll, gyoza, and custom underwear all on the same menu! Tuesday night was $5 Sapporo beers. Quick, polite service and enjoyed the sushi.

Hypercolour kitsch marine themed Japanese restaurant with an impossibly complex restaurant and giant octopuses on ceiling pumping electronic music.. what's not to like about this place? Definitely suggest getting the sushi platters as they are very very large and a great option to share. Book ahead as this place gets busy. Service is a little slow and understaffed but overall you will love the uniqueness of The Eatery, just don't take it too seriously! Good vego options, expect to pay $15-25 per head. #sushi

The water is spectacular! The taste rivals my favorite source. Nearly perfect in flavour, served at the optimal temperature, and always refilled just at the right time. Foods great, and the place had a rad vibe. Would eat here again.

It’s nice that they will accommodate bigger groups. I ordered the sashimi salad and it was not the greatest. I also ordered a jalapeño Caesar, which tasted pretty average. I would say that this place is a lot more affordable than other sushi restaurants as they have daily specials and has a cool atmosphere. There was a live DJ that played good music.

Kitschy place and the sushi isn’t top notch for what Vancouver has to offer. That being said, it’s a cool spot to bring guests or for birthday parties on special occasion because of the whole experience that you get at The Eatery.

An absolutely unique experience. The vibe of the eatery and the energy is not what you’d expect from a sushi place. If you’re looking for a traditional sushi restaurant. This isn’t it - but it is delicious and fun nontheles!

Atmosphere was amazing. Hands down, love the decor. Menu had so many options as well, couldn't decide what to get. The menu was unique and interesting and the rolls were even better! The food is very reasonably priced, and the drinks were outstanding! Amazing time overall

Cool sushi joint with a funky decor. The fish was fresh, the service was excellent, and then menu options were many.

Interesting place. HUGE MENU Great decoration, Japanese-versatile menu. Small portions but really innovative flavors. Come with time to read their 6 page menu. Beware with the servers, none of the wish to be there, and will show how much they dislike their jobs. Luckily the tip % is optional.

Great location/ atmosphere, service was good, and I enjoyed the food.However, i felt it was a little overpriced for what we got and the music was way too loud.Would still recommend this place though if you're in the area.

Very interesting decoration and concept. They indeed serve up some funky sushi rolls that to my surprise I liked most of them. Some are a little too much but I understand the flavours behind them. We ordered two platters between 4 and that was way too much. In terms of price it was well worth it. I thought the place was a little too dark for my liking.

Sketcy looking place with delicious sushi. The crowd seems to be younger but the food is just delicious unpretentious and gives you great value for your money.Some might consider me traditional sushi snob but I love everything I've had here so far.It's like a bar that serves craft beer and great sushi. Who would've thought this was a good idea.

You go here for the atmosphere. It's a very fun and vibrant experience with crazy sushi rolls and other dishes. The sushi is not anything amazing though if you want good sushi there's way better options

If you are looking for sushi with a difference than this is your place! Fun quirky decor and good funky sushi. The fat Elvis (avocado tempura) is a must! My favourite was the Ichi Roll.

My son and I went here last night on Halloween night. Great place. AMAZING sushi selections. Very fun ambiance and great friendly staff. Good portion, very tasty. I will certainly be back and will bring friends.

OKAY, this place is hands down my new favorite. When I first walked in I was skeptical, I was not expecting such unique decor. I was warned in advance but I was nkt prepared, it was awesome. On to the menu, its overwhelming, there is so much choice. No one in your party will not be able to find something. The food itself was much better than I expected. I was told it was good but my Donburi was amazing. Service was fast and somewhat pleasent. The value of the meal overall was very good considering it's location in Vancouver. I believe my boyfriend and I got in/out for under $28, not including the tip. Also, check out the pictures next to the washrooms....

Probably one of the best sushi spots in Vancouver. Ambience was different than your typical sushi restaurant and the food was amazing. We ordered the Ring of fire platter and it was perfect for two-three people. Highly recommend the marinated sashimi as well. Looking forward to coming back!

My husband and I came here for the first time and had an amazing experience. Our server Toni (sorry I don't know how to spell it) was fantastic. The ambiance is cool, have fun with it. Food is good. Stick with the funky rolls. Drinks recommended.

First time back in 5 years. Why did I stop going?!?!? Service was great and the rolls are so much fun. Great cocktails. Will not wait another 5 years to go back.

Younger crowd. Excellent food. The menu is extensive and they have some great cocktails. Fast and friendly service. The tuna tempura is incredible!

What can I say about The Edible Eatery (don't care what they call themselves now)? There is a reason it's been a West Broadway staple for a million years. If you like sushi and and as funky vibe this is the place.

Funky decor. They have lots of art structures hanging from the ceiling. The service was great! The menu is huge but the server is good at suggesting quantity or to point you in the right direction. Resonable prices and a good spot for non traditional sushi rolls.

Good food. Cool vibe/atmosphere . The decor was cool. My friend and I were looking around at everything they had up.I would give a 5 star if they accepted debit.

I go every time I am in Vancouver, and recommend it to everyone I know that visits the city. They make my favorite sushi of all time-- I've never had better. I dream of the volcano roll on a regular basis. The funky decor and friendly staff make it a fun place to go with a group or on a date.

Perfect place. Good prices. You can pay just with cash or credit card. Nice service. Rolls were delicious. On picture is philadelphia rolls and starburst. 6 pieces is around 8cad.High recommend!!
